Club Competition Rules
(Unless otherwise stated on the draw sheet)
π― Match Format
- Men’s and Ladies’ Singles are played to 21 shots.
- Handicap Singles are also played to 21 shots, after handicaps have been applied (see the top of the draw for how to calculate shot difference). How Handicaps are Set
- All Pairs matches are played over 18 ends.
Any other formats will be stated on the draw sheet.
π₯ Markers (Singles only)
- The first-named player is responsible for arranging a marker.
π Arranging Matches
- Both players (or pairs) are responsible for agreeing a date.
- Matches must be played on or before the play-by date for each round.
- The first-named player selects the rink that the match is to be played on.
π Dress Code
- Players and markers must abide by the usual club dress code.
- Finals weekend will be played in whites, and markers will be provided.
π Results
- The winner of the match is responsible for filling in the draw sheet at the club.
- Winners must also photograph and send the scorecard(s) to Chris Wrenn (07780381557 or [email protected]) within 24 hours of completing the match.
β οΈ Failure to Play
- Matches not played by the deadline may result in disqualification, unless an extension has been granted in advance.
π Finals Weekend
- All finals are to be played on the weekend of 20th–21st September.
- The majority of finals will be scheduled for Saturday 20th, where possible.
- Exceptions will be made for players in more than two finals, in which case overspill matches may be arranged for Sunday 21st.
- Please do not start any competitions if you cannot play on the finals weekend - you need to be available on both days as your final could be scheduled for either of those days.

- In the event of any dispute, the Competitions Secretary’s decision is final.
